Job summary

Euronics Industries is seeking a Tooling Engineer with 3-4 years of relevant experience in tool design, mould design, sheet-metal tooling and SolidWorks. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying and maintaining tools, moulds, dies, jigs and fixtures to support new product development and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of tooling, tool design, mould design, sheet-metal tooling, die design or related engineering/manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tools, dies, moulds, jigs and fixtures as per product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Create accurate 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Develop and modify mould designs based on product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Review product drawings and convert design requirements into practical tooling solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain tooling BOMs, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Manage tool design data, drawing revisions and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, NPD, Quality and Manufacturing teams for tooling development and implementation.
  • Support tool trials, validation, debugging and modifications to resolve production issues.
  • Identify tooling-related problems and implement corrective actions to improve quality, productivity and tool life.
  • Work with external tool rooms and vendors for tooling development, fabrication and modifications.
  • Support new product development activities from prototype/tooling stage through productionisation.
  • Ensure tooling designs are manufacturable, cost-effective and aligned with production requirements.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering or a related discipline.


Experience
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in tooling, tool design, mould design, sheet-metal tooling, die design or a similar engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in sheet-metal fabrication, industrial products, engineering products or manufacturing will be preferred.

Key Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of tool and mould design principles.
  • Good proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing feasibility and tooling processes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tooling development activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile
  • The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of hands‑on experience in Tool Design, Mould Design and Sheet Metal Tooling, along with strong proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in tooling data/document management.
  • Candidates who have worked closely with NPD, Production, Quality and Tool Room teams will be preferred.
