Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Tool Design Engineer to develop and modify mechanical equipment and tooling for BIW manufacturing, and to create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.

You will design layouts and simulation models, coordinate with production, quality, and ergonomics teams, and ensure manufacturability by liaising with suppliers. 8+ years of tool design in manufacturing and strong CATIA/3DX skills are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma with Tool Design / B.Tech in Mechanical Engg.
• 8+ years of Tool design experience from the manufacturing industry.
• Work exposure in BIW is an advantage.
• Good knowledge and In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, welding, Drilling & Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Good knowledge of Manufacturing and Assembly Process.
• Good understanding of Engineering Drawing reading, Drawing and detailing standards.
• Good knowledge and skills in digital tools (CATIA/3DX/Process Simulate) in the Virtual area.
• Hands-on experience in at least one PLM software (Windchill Preferred)
