Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handle tool manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool designs.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams for tooling requirements.
• Monitor tool performance and implement corrective actions.
• Support new tool development and trials.
• Identify tooling issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain tool room records and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety and production standards.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Tool Room Engineer to support tool manufacturing, maintenance, modification, and development activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring tool availability, quality, and timely completion of tool room requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle tool manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and modification activities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool designs.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams for tooling requirements.
• Monitor tool performance and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Support new tool development and tool trials.
• Identify tooling issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain tool room records, tool history, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and production standards.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Tool Room / Tool & Die operations.
• Knowledge of VMC, CNC, EDM, Wire EDM, Grinding, Milling, and conventional machining.
• Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred

Experience in MIM / Injection Moulding / Die Casting / Precision Tooling will be an added advantage.
