Job summary

G Square Techsystems in Pune invites a Design Engineer (Tool Design Engineer) to join our tooling team. You will design and develop plastic injection molds and press tools for automotive applications, using CATIA V5 for 3D/2D design.

You should be proficient in reading drawings, GD&T, and have knowledge of mold components, cores & cavities, parting lines, sliders, lifters, ejectors and cooling systems, with collaboration with manufacturing for tooling development.

Qualifications

• Design & development of plastic injection molds and press tools for automotive applications.
• Hands-on CATIA V5 3D/2D tool design and detailing.
• Knowledge of core & cavity, parting line, sliders, lifters, ejectors and cooling systems.
• Understanding of mold components, tool room and mold structure.
• Basic knowledge of DFM, draft, undercuts, shrinkage and tooling concepts.
• Ability to read 2D drawings, GD&T and engineering specifications.
• Coordinate with manufacturing/tool room teams for tool development and corrections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Manufacturing / Tool Room Teams for tool development and corrections.
• Assist in tooling concept evaluation and feasibility checks.
• Prepare CAD models and drawings for tooling components.
