Job summary

VMC Soft Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Thunderhead / SMARTCOMM Developer in Chennai/Bengaluru to lead document automation and output management projects.

The candidate will design templates, configure environments, and integrate complex data models to support end-to-end document production. The role requires 8–10 years of relevant experience, strong scripting and SQL skills, and familiarity with API testing and Agile practices.

Qualifications

Experience in Thunderhead / SMARTCOMM required.
Expert in document automation and output management.
Proficient in document template and layout development.
Knowledge of Business Objects (BO), data modeling, XML, and SQL.

Responsibilities

Design and develop document templates, layouts, and BO-based outputs.
Develop and maintain document automation and output management solutions using Thunderhead / SMARTCOMM.
Configure Thunderhead/SMARTCOMM environments and deploy resources across Dev/Test/Prod.
Work with XML, JavaScript, and SQL to generate and process documents.
Develop and execute unit tests and support integration testing.
Validate APIs and web services with tools like SOAPUI and Postman.
Troubleshoot production, repository, and deployment issues.
Collaborate with designers, SI teams, and stakeholders in Agile environments.
Maintain project docs using JIRA and Confluence.
Use FileZilla and PuTTY for file transfers and deployments.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Thunderhead / SMARTCOMM Developer with 8 10 years of experience in document automation and output management. The candidate should have strong expertise in developing document templates, configuring Thunderhead/SMARTCOMM solutions, managing document repositories, integrating complex data models, and supporting end-to-end document production.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop sophisticated document templates, layouts, and Business Objects (BO) based on functional and business requirements.
Develop and maintain document automation and output management solutions using Thunderhead / SMARTCOMM.
Configure Thunderhead/SMARTCOMM environments and manage deployment of packaged resources across Development, Testing, and Production environments.
Work with complex data models, XML, JavaScript, and SQL for document generation and processing.
Perform DOM Repository maintenance and develop SQL scripts for document metadata creation, modification, and management.
Develop and execute unit test cases and support functional/integration testing.
Validate APIs and web services using tools such as SOAPUI and Postman.
Troubleshoot document production, integration, repository, and deployment issues.
Collaborate with designers, system integrators, application/support teams, and business stakeholders.
Work effectively in Agile/SCRUM/SAFe environments.
Maintain technical documentation and project artifacts using JIRA and Confluence.
Use tools such as FileZilla and PuTTY for file transfer, server access, and deployment/support activities.
