What you'll actually do

Write captions for every social channel, blogs, newsletters, lifecycle emails, website copy, LinkedIn, X, Substack, ads, product microcopy, announcements, reports, and case studies.

Create well-researched, thoughtful content and scale it across all social channels. Work closely with founders, growth, and media team to shape Cardboard’s voice across social, email, web, product, and launches. Live inside customer calls, Slack, support tickets, social media comments, and timelines to gather raw material.

Who you are

You already write on your own, without anyone asking. We’ll look at what you’ve written before we look at your resume.

You have taste, are terminally online, know why a creator’s caption works or doesn’t, and can articulate it well.

You think in outcomes and understand the funnel: acquire, activate, convert, and retain. Every piece of writing has a job, and you grade yourself on whether that job got done.

You understand the banter that lives online and know what works on each platform: X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit. You know the same idea needs to be written differently for each one.

You’re flexible and adaptable, so you ghostwrite well and can adapt someone’s voice to sound even better than they would have written it.

You’re AI‑native. Claude and other AI friends are your drafting partners, but you have a strong eye for AI output: when it’s good and when it’s slop.
