Cardboard, Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a growth strategist who thrives on experimentation and data. You will manage outreach and build scalable growth channels, collaborating with teams to optimize performance.
The ideal candidate is frugal, loves speed, and has proven sales skills. You'll work directly with the founders, driving growth through creative outreach strategies and data-driven decision-making.
The position offers a competitive salary, equity, and unlimited PTO. You'll also benefit from a budget for tools and regular team outings.
Video is the most powerful way humans tell stories. It has always been. But creating it today is still painfully hard. Fragmented tools, steep learning curves, and workflows that get in the way of the actual creative work. We are building Cardboard to change that.
The best product doesn't always win. The best-distributed one often does. Right now, millions of creators, videographers and marketers would fall in love with Cardboard if they tried it. But many of them just don't know it exists yet. Your job is to go find them.
Treat growth as an engineering problem: Take bets in parallel across influencers, UGC, launches, communities, and paid ads. Test across geographies, niches, formats, and platforms. Obsess over CAC, kill the losers fast, and pour energy into the winners. Finding what works through fast experimentation will be your main goal.
Build scalable growth channels from zero: Turn the winning experiments into repeatable machines, and live in dashboards so you know what's working in hard cold numbers, not vibes.
Own the creator pipeline: Source, enrich, reach out, follow up, negotiate, go live, track, optimize, and scale what works.
Run cold outreach at volume: Use automations and tools to make the volume real.
Work closely with the growth, product, and media teams. Collaborate with contractors and freelancers to scale what works.
In short, you run multiple experiments. When a channel works, you double down. When it doesn't, you kill it and try the next absurd out-of-the-box idea. You'll work directly with the founders and Head of Growth, and set the playbook the future growth team will run on.
Note: This is high-volume, scrappy, rejection-heavy work. Hundreds of DMs to get a few replies to get a handful of creators that move the needle. If that sounds miserable, this isn't the role. If that gets you excited and sounds like a game you would win, we'd love to speak with you.
Relentlessly frugal and hacky: If you can't find a tool for the job, you spin one up with Claude or Codex in a few hours.
You can sell: You write DMs that a busy creator is compelled to respond to, and you close them at top-of-industry CPMs.
You are terminally online: You understand and track trends, and use them as leverage to bring in more users.
You love volume and speed: A hundred no's won't demotivate you. You understand that they are the enablers for the two yeses you'll get.
You live with data: You'd rather kill your own idea with a number than defend it with a vibe.
You're AGI-pilled: You already run your life on agents and automations, and you've tried whatever new tool or model dropped last week. You should strive to automate your job every day so you can take on the next big thing.
Bonus: You've been a founder, or you've grown something of your own from zero: a social media account, a newsletter, a community, or a side hustle.
Competitive salary and founding-team equity.
Unlimited PTO.
Unlimited tokens. Use whatever you want, as much as you want.
A healthy budget for tools and anything you need to do your best work.
Weekly team dinners, sport matches, and outings.
