Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of web-based products across positive and negative scenarios.
• Understand requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute test cases and report defects with steps, screenshots, logs, and evidence.
• Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman; analyze console errors and network issues.
• Identify layered issues by validating end-to-end workflows, data flows, and backend responses.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to verify fixes.
• Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing as needed.
• Ensure defect tracking, retesting, and timely closure.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and product quality.

The role requires someone who can think beyond basic test cases, create effective scenarios, and identify layered issues across the application.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of web-based products, covering both positive and negative scenarios.
• Understand product requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute test cases and report defects with proper steps, screenshots, logs, and evidence.
• Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools. Analyze browser console errors, network failures, API response issues, and application behavior.
• Identify layered issues by validating end-to-end workflows, data flow, UI behavior, validations, and backend responses.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand issues and verify fixes.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and exploratory testing as required.
• Ensure proper defect tracking, retesting, and closure within defined timelines.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and product quality.
