Job summary

Shieldbyte Infosec is seeking a hands-on QA tester to validate web and SaaS applications, performing functional, regression and end-to-end testing while preparing detailed test cases and checklists to ensure stable releases.

You will demonstrate features to clients, coordinate with developers, and support pre-demo/POC testing. Strong API/DB understanding and proficiency with Postman and Jira are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual testing and preparation of test cases.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, application workflows and integrations.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Jira or similar testing/issue-tracking platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot application issues systematically.
• Strong presentation and product demonstration skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Confidence in handling client meetings independently.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into application configurations or technical requirements.
• Strong documentation and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, usability, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of web/SaaS applications.
• Prepare and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios and testing checklists.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before production release.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Coordinate with developers on bug resolution and retest fixes.
• Maintain testing records, defect trackers and release validation reports.
• Conduct professional product demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
• Understand client requirements and demonstrate relevant application features and use cases.
• Participate in technical meetings with client IT, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and business teams.
• Explain application architecture, workflows, configurations, integrations and security features where applicable.
• Document client requirements, observations, enhancement requests and action items
• Plan and execute client POCs based on agreed scope and success criteria.
• Participate in product release validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Validate dashboards, reports, notifications, workflows, user permissions and application configurations.
• Perform pre-demo and pre-POC testing to ensure the application environment is stable and presentation-ready.
• Coordinate with developers on bug resolution and retest fixes.
• Maintain testing records, defect trackers and release validation reports.
• Conduct professional product demonstrations for prospective and existing clients.
• Understand client requirements and demonstrate relevant application features and use cases.
• Participate in technical meetings with client IT, Information Security, Risk, Compliance and business teams.

Preferred candidate profile -

• Strong understanding of web/SaaS application testing.
• Experience in manual testing and preparation of test cases.
