Job summary

EY in Chennai seeks an experienced Quality Engineering professional to lead a project team from scratch, participate in status calls and client meetings, and define robust testing strategies. You will plan tests, estimate effort, develop test scripts, execute cases, and manage defects through STLC.

Proficiency with JIRA/Azure DevOps/ALM, and knowledge of API, database, and ETL testing, plus strong communication, are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Engineering (5–10 years).

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible in leading a project team and monitor all the project activities from scratch.
• Participate and lead all the status calls, Scrum calls and client meetings. Review and send out the DSR & WSR to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust testing strategies and processes and ensure they are properly implemented and followed.
• Prepare test Planning, estimation, test Strategy, Requirement gathering/analysis, prepare test scenarios & test scripts based on the requirements, execute the planned test cases and report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process.
• Hands on experience on test management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM etc.
• Working knowledge of test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright etc.
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI)
• Thorough knowledge of Database and ETL testing
• Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly.
• The ability to define, monitor, and report on SLAs to ensure that services meet agreed-upon performance and availability standards.
• Should be ready to do an individual contributor as well as Team Leader role is what we look for.
• Manage resources effectively ensuring on-time delivery of products.
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks related to software quality at each phase of the software testing process.
