Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a senior Quality Engineer to lead testing across enterprise applications in Hyderabad. You will own API and UI automation, build automation frameworks in Java/Python/JavaScript, and drive end‑to‑end testing with CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires hands‑on testing across functional, integration, regression, system, API, and end‑to‑end scopes, with strong knowledge of cloud platforms and monitoring tools. Banking/finance domain exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in QA across enterprise applications.
• Hands‑on API testing and automation focus.
• UI automation using Selenium or similar.
• Experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript in automation.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, testing types, and Agile/Scrum.
• Familiarity with SQL/DB validation and JSON/XML.
• Cloud platform exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Splunk and monitoring tools.
• AI/GenAI driven QA and Copilot for test creation and automation.
• Understanding AI/ML application testing and data quality.
• QA metrics, quality gates, and release readiness experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration in banking/finance domains is a plus.

Job description

Area(s) of responsibility

8-10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Quality Assurance across enterprise applications. Strong expertise in API testing and automation using REST/SOAP services. Hands‑on experience in UI automation using Selenium or similar frameworks. Proficient in developing automation frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience in functional, integration, regression, system, API, and end‑to‑end testing. Strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Continuous Testing, Shift‑Left Testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Expertise in SQL/database validation, JSON, XML, web services, and microservices architecture. Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Knowledge of Splunk and production monitoring tools for troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Hands‑on experience with AI/GenAI‑driven Quality Engineering, including GitHub Copilot for test case creation, automation scripting, defect analysis, intelligent test prioritization, and productivity improvement. Understanding of AI/ML application testing, model validation, data quality, accuracy, reliability, and edge‑case testing. Experience defining QA metrics, quality gates, defect management, and release‑readiness criteria. Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Experience in banking/financial domain applications is preferred.
