Job summary

Fujitsu India is hiring a Test Specialist to drive GIS and API testing across multi-location projects in Pune, Noida, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore.

You will design comprehensive test strategies, create and maintain automation scripts (Playwright and Postman), and validate data integrity across GIS workflows and integrations.

This role offers hybrid work, relocation support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in GIS testing or similar domain.
• Experience designing test strategies for GIS platforms and APIs.
• Automation experience with Playwright and Postman is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements for GIS applications and design test strategies and test cases.
• Design, execute, and maintain integration tests across GIS platforms, APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites with Playwright and Postman, focusing on API/service-layer testing.
• Validate GIS data integrity and transformation processes throughout the lifecycle.
• Test map-based UIs, geospatial services, web services, and location-enabled workflows.
• Collaborate with dev/ops to identify root causes and verify resolutions.

Shifts- US Shift 5:30 pm to 2:30 am IST

Work mode- Hybrid

• Analyse business and technical requirements for GIS applications and design comprehensive test strategies and test cases to achieve optimal coverage during Agile sprint cycles.
• Design, execute, and maintain integration tests across GIS platforms, APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
• Perform end-to-end validation of GIS workflows, including data ingestion, processing, map rendering, spatial analysis, reporting, and downstream integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Postman, with a primary focus on API and service-layer testing.
• Validate GIS data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and transformation processes throughout the application lifecycle.
• Test map-based user interfaces, geospatial services, web services, and location-enabled workflows.
• Execute regression, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing for GIS application releases.
• Support GIS Run & Resiliency initiatives by validating application recovery, operational stability, failover capabilities, and post-incident fixes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify root causes, troubleshoot defects, and verify resolutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, requirement reviews, defect triage, and release readiness assessments.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation, test coverage, and quality engineering practices.
