Job summary

Tekskills Inc. in Chennai, India is seeking an Automation Tester to build and maintain automated tests for banking applications. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure quality across UI, API, and backend layers.

The role requires Java or VBScript basics, strong SQL skills, and experience with CI/CD tools. Familiarity with Selenium, UFT, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and RestAssured is preferred, along with Agile project experience and cloud awareness (AWS/Azure).

Job Overview

We are looking for an Automation Tester who can create and maintain automated tests for banking applications. The candidate should have good knowledge of automation tools and work closely with the development and QA teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand and test banking application requirements
• Develop automation scripts for UI, API, and backend testing
• Use tools like Selenium / UFT / TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber / RestAssured
• Run automation scripts through CI/CD tools (Git/Jenkins/Azure DevOps)
• Report and track defects until closure
• Improve automation coverage and regression suite

Requirements

• Basic coding knowledge in Java or VBScript
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Agile projects
• Banking domain knowledge (added advantage)
• Cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure) is a plus
