Job summary

Star Union Dai ichi Life Insurance (SUD Life) in Maharashtra seeks proactive Sales Officers to identify suitable candidates and promote life insurance products within assigned clusters. You will drive sales through bank partners, support team members, ensure need-based selling, manage documentation, and assist in policy issuance and renewals.

This role emphasizes brand-building, MIS reporting, and field-based exhibitions to expand the agency network.

Responsibilities

• Identify suitable candidates for Sales Officers.
• Promote company products and achieve/exceed business targets in assigned clusters.
• Support allotted clusters in promoting life insurance to customers and prospects.
• Generate business via the bank partner's CASA customer base.
• Leverage bank partner databases to drive asset-base customer sales.
• Empower sales officers with knowledge to pitch relevant products.
• Promote the right product mix.
• Support end-to-end sales process: closing, documentation, and pre-insurance medicals.
• Disseminate key communications and implement strategies at branches.
• Promote brand-building initiatives and maintain relations with corporate agents.
• Ensure adherence to sales management processes within the team.
• Provide daily MIS reports on performance.
• Arrange exhibitions and customer/cluster meets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Identification of the right candidates for the role of Sales Officers.

• Promoting sales of the Company's products, achieving and exceeding business targets set by the Company in respect of the clusters branches/outlets within the area of jurisdiction, In line with business targets and mapping.
• Achieving these targets by providing all possible support to the allotted clusters in promoting life insurance business to their existing customers as well as to the prospects. Drive business to the asset base customers by using the bank partner database and business.
• Work to generate business through the liability-based CASA customer base of the bank partner branch. Enable the sales officers in the team and equip them with the required knowledge and skills to pitch relevant products to this base of customers. Ensure needbased selling by doing customer profiling and educating the sales officers in the team to do the same.
• Drive the right product mix
• Driving and supporting all the new business sales and service functions viz. closing sales calls, aiding in the completion of documentation, facilitating pre-insurance medical examination, scrutiny of the proposal papers to minimize the turnaround time in policy issues; facilitating renewal premium collections, customer service, etc.
• Ensure the download of key organizational communication with the team for their involvement in the mainstream strategy execution. Implementation of the key company strategies in the branches/geographies assigned
• Promoting the brand image of the Company and implementing all initiatives of the Company related to brand-building exercises, as well as maintaining excellent relationships with the corporate agents.
• Adherence to the company Sales Management Processes & ensure adherence within the team of sales officers
• Providing daily MIS/report of performance.
• Arranging exhibitions, customer meets, cluster meets etc.
• Such other duties as may be entrusted from time to time
