Mohan Mutha Infrastructure is seeking a Tendering & Estimation Engineer in Chennai to manage end-to-end tendering processes, prepare cost-based estimates, and coordinate with procurement and project teams.

The role requires 5+ years in tendering or quantity surveying, a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and experience in infrastructure projects, preferably marine/port works. Strong negotiation and documentation skills are essential.

Role : Tendering & Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

• Handle end-to-end tendering activities including tender document review, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, costing, and rate analysis.
• Prepare accurate estimates covering material, manpower, equipment, logistics, OHS, and project overhead costs.
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors for quotations, rate comparison, and negotiations.
• Prepare tender synopsis, scope matrix, technical & commercial submissions, and ensure timely bid submission.
• Conduct feasibility, risk assessment, technical/commercial evaluation, and tender analysis.
• Coordinate with planning, P&M, logistics, finance, and project teams for tender inputs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits; prepare construction methodology, manpower, equipment, and logistics plans.
• Handle bid clarifications, negotiations, LOI/LOA review, ZCR preparation, and post-award handover.
• Support management in tender strategy, costing approval, and loss tender analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in tendering, estimation, costing, or quantity surveying.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in construction and infrastructure projects, preferably marine/port/harbour projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, cost estimation, and tender documentation.
• Good coordination and negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
