Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Tendering Engineer to provide technical support to sales and analyze product configurations for customer-specific pricing in Navi Mumbai. This early-career role focuses on tendering and requires strong Excel costing and P&ID interpretation.

The position involves coordinating with procurement, engineering and sales; delivering timely bids; and ensuring smooth handover to the project team after order closure. Based in Digha, Navi Mumbai.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10-15 years of experience in Tendering.
• Experience in centrifugal pump hydraulics and material selection & metallurgy.
• Industry standards like API 610, ISO pump standard desirable.
• Hands-on experience in MS Excel (costing & datasheets) and reading P&IDs and specifications.
• Independent and proactive with good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Strong ownership, work ethic, detail-oriented and driven for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyse RFQs, tenders and bid documents for centrifugal pumps (API 610, ISO, ANSI, API 610 / ISO 5199 / ISO 2858 / client specs).
• Prepare techno-commercially optimum and competitive offers for on-time submission.
• Close technical clarifications and bid clarifications; handover after order; attend ORM1/KOM as required.
• Coordinate with procurement, factory and sales for timelines, terms and margins.
• Coordinate with Engineering to modify hydraulics per customer requirements.
• Provide pre-bid clarifications to customers.
