Job summary

Zodiac HR Consultants in Mumbai is seeking a Tendering & Proposal Engineer to identify contracts, compile tenders, and prepare technical and commercial proposals. The role requires 5–7 years of experience and a strong grasp of tender documents, government norms, and English communication.

You will manage end-to-end tender submissions and coordinate with clients to ensure timely, compliant bids. Alternate Saturday off with 6 days of work and a Mechanical degree are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) is required.
• 5–7 years of tendering or proposal experience.
• Knowledge of tender documents and government departments.
• Fluent English communication and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Check Tender Search systems daily and identify contracts of interest.
• Prepare Tender Synopsis with scope, eligibility criteria and checklist.
• Prepare and compile query lists for bids.
• Ensure tender submissions meet deadlines and guidelines.
• Manage tender submission lifecycle and handover documentation.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and attend clarification meetings.
• Adhere to company delegation and commercial guidelines.

Tendering & Proposal Engineer

• Check various Tender Search systems on a daily basis and identify any contracts which may be of interest to the Company.
• Prepare The Tender Synopsis highlighting Scope of work, Eligibility Criteria,Check List etc.
• Prepare & compile query list.
• To follow relevant procedures for Tender compilation and ensure tender, submission as per relevant timelines.
• Responsible for ensuring tenders are submitted consistently ahead of the deadlines set by the tendering authority or body.
• Manage the tender submission through its entire life cycle.
• The position requires that tenders and business proposals meet all relevant specifications; are in line with the most recent research available and best practice; and are compliant with client requirements.
• Prepare technical & commercial proposals.
• Attend clarification meetings with Client when required.
• Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
• Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
• Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
• Experience: 5 to 7 years
• Must have knowledge of all Tender Documents, Letters, Knowledge of Government departments, sectors etc.
• Clarification of bid conditions and management of the tender preparation,tender reviews and deadlines,
• Ability to coordinate several tasks at a time.
• Good communication skills including fluent verbal and written English skills,good in MS office.
• Must have exposure of handling online tenders.
• Candidates must have experience on searching Tenders on various websites & he have experience on tender documentation.
