Job summary

Genius Consultants in Calicut, Kerala invites applications for a Data Centre Technician Lead Electrical (Telecom) role. The position requires strong electrical maintenance, telecom equipment knowledge, and experience in data centre infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime.

You will manage UPS/DG systems, LT panels, transformers, and BMS, work in rotating shifts, and coordinate with vendors. Freshers with excellent knowledge may be considered; male candidates preferred.

Qualifications

ITI (Electrician/Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
Wireman/Electrical license is an added advantage.
Minimum 13 years telecom/electrical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems in the data centre.
Monitor UPS, DG sets, batteries, transformers, LT panels, and power distribution systems.
Install, inspect, and troubleshoot telecom and electrical equipment.
Monitor HVAC, fire alarm, and building management systems (BMS).
Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain operational logs.
Respond quickly to alarms, faults, and emergency breakdowns.
Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and repair activities.
Follow all safety regulations, electrical standards, and company SOPs.
Ensure 100% uptime of critical infrastructure.
Prepare maintenance reports and documentation.
Support commissioning, testing, and installation of new equipment.
