Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and implement electrical systems for data center projects.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components.
• Ensure proper integration of electrical systems with HVAC and fire safety.
• Conduct load calculations and power distribution planning.
• Coordinate with design teams and contractors to ensure timely project execution.

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in data center projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in large‑scale data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and implement electrical systems for data center projects as per industry standards and client specifications.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components including HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, bus ducts, cable trays, and grounding systems.
• Ensure proper integration of electrical systems with HVAC, fire safety, BMS, and other data center infrastructure.
• Conduct load calculations, fault level analysis, and power distribution planning.
• Coordinate with design teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards.
• Prepare technical reports, BOQs, drawings, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure uninterrupted power supply for sensitive data center operations.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor project progress and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, IS standards, and international data center guidelines (TIA/IEC/Uptime standards preferred).

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in data center, MEP, industrial, or EPC electrical projects.
• Certification in data center engineering (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure.
• Expertise in electrical drafting tools (AutoCAD, etc.).
• Understanding of UPS systems, DG systems, STS/PDU, grounding & earthing, and power redundancy (N/N+1/N+2).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and on‑site coordination abilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety protocols and quality standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑handling skills.
