Job summary

Wellknown is seeking a Technician – Instrumentation for their CP Plant in Daman. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance, with an ITI qualification in Electronics or Instrumentation.

The Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation equipment, executing preventive maintenance, and ensuring system health checks. This full-time role requires good communication skills and adherence to safety procedures.

Reporting To: Supervisor / Sr. Supervisor – Instrumentation

Mandatory Skill-Sets:

• Basic knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process control systems
• Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation equipment
• Knowledge of field instruments such as transmitters, sensors, switches, control valves, and gauges
• Basic understanding of DCS, PLC, VFD/Inverter systems, and automation equipment
• Ability to perform calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance activities
• Ability to read and understand basic instrumentation drawings, manuals, and SOPs
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Awareness of plant safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and maintenance practices

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Carry out troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation equipment during shifts
• Execute preventive maintenance activities as per approved PM schedules
• Monitor and perform health checks of critical systems such as DCS, inverters, and control systems
• Attend breakdown maintenance activities and restore equipment under guidance of Engineers/Supervisors
• Support project execution, modification works, installation, and commissioning activities
• Maintain daily maintenance records, shift logs, and breakdown details accurately
• Ensure proper handling, safe use, and availability of tools, tackles, and maintenance equipment
• Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and departmental guidelines at all times
• Coordinate with senior team members for timely problem resolution and minimum equipment downtime
• Participate in ISO systems, 5S, Quality Circle, and continuous improvement initiatives
