General Summary

Responsible for implementing the Continuous Process Improvement Initiative within the Business Unit. Working within the department to identify opportunities for improvement such as Breakthrough and Point Kaizen, Standard Work, 5S, etc. Providing help with leadership and direct support. Will be responsible for directly implementing and practicing Lean tools on the shop floor and supporting the deployment of the Lean Maturity Roadmap.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drives continuous improvement culture that fosters daily improvement involving all team members.
• Supports and executes the lean maturity roadmap deployment plan for the department.
• Collaborates with leaders to execute Gemba walks.
• Tracks and implements the Point Kaizen Program within the department.
• Maintains and deploys standard work within the department.
• Coordinates Lean Manufacturing activities, including Kaizen events, projects, and other initiatives to improve and further lean efforts, ensuring execution of the transformation plan.
• Serves on the Kaizen team, tracks the progress of the transformation plan, and reports to the Manager.
• Supports operations in establishing and maintaining standard work and continuous flow in all areas, including 5S and visual management.
• Audits processes for correct implementation and deployment of Lean tools.
• Ensures open communication and involvement of employees in the Lean process.

Skills Required

Ability to effectively interact with personnel at various levels and disciplines. Ability to regularly contact, influence, and negotiate with both internal and external individuals on complex issues.

Ability to lead project teams within the department.

Working knowledge of basic and advanced tools such as Continuous Improvement, Lean manufacturing, TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis, Poka Yoke, SMED, Standard Work, Kanban/Pull Systems, and Kaizen.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1–2 years of related experience. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
