Job summary

Safran S.A. in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Lean deployment specialist to lead end-to-end Lean initiatives on the shop floor, driving TAT reduction and optimizing production and support functions.

You will implement VSM, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and RCA, conduct time studies, line balancing, and waste elimination, mentoring teams and enabling data-driven decisions with Power BI and Excel. This role requires strong collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Lean deployment with measurable impact.

• Data-driven with Excel; Power BI for decision making.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and conduct Gemba walks.
• Experience with CI governance and visual management.

Job description

• Lead end to end deployment of Lean methodologies across shop floor operations
• Drive TAT reduction initiatives across production and support functions through process optimization and bottleneck elimination
• Implement Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, SMED, TPM, and Root Cause Analysis
• Conduct detailed time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to improve flow and reduce cycle time
• Identify and eliminate waste (Muda) to improve throughput and reduce lead time
• Facilitate Kaizen events and ensure sustainment of improvements with measurable impact
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Training and Supply Chain teams for cross-functional improvements
• Define, track, and improve KPIs such as TAT, OEE, Productivity, WIP, and Yield
• Lead problem-solving using structured methodologies (RCA, A3, 5 Why, Fishbone)
• Design and drive visual management systems and standard work practices across shopfloor
• Mentor and train teams on Lean and Six Sigma principles
• Support digital CI initiatives (Power BI dashboards, data analytics for decision-making)
• Conduct regular Gemba walks and CI governance reviews with leadership - Strong hands-on experience in Lean deployment.
• Proven track record of TAT reduction and throughput improvement
• Deep understanding of VSM, Kaizen, 5S, TPM tools and other Lean philosophies.
• Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (A3, 8D, RCA)
• Data-driven mindset with strong Excel skills; Power BI preferred
• Ability to influence/negotiate with cross-functional stakeholders
