Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a Technician – Compression to operate and maintain tablet compression equipment in India, ensuring product quality and compliance with cGMP and safety standards.

You will perform in-process checks, document batch records, and work with QA to resolve deviations, while keeping the manufacturing area audit-ready and compliant with SOPs.

This role requires 4–6 years of pharma experience and the ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma or BSc required.
• 4–6 years in pharma tablet compression.
• Read SOPs and batch records.
• Stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tablet compression machines and ancillary equipment (e.g., metal detectors, dedusters, friability testers, scales).
• Perform in-process checks such as tablet weight, thickness, hardness, and visual inspection as per Master Batch Records (MBR).
• Clean and sanitize equipment and manufacturing areas according to SOPs.
• Accurately complete equipment logs and batch documentation.
• Ensure proper execution of MBRs, SOPs, and validation protocols.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for in-process sampling and issue resolution.
• Identify and report deviations, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations, and company policies.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and audit-ready at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Experience:4–6 years in pharmaceutical tablet compression operations.
