Job summary

Rubicon Research Limited is seeking a Technician-Compression at our Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh. The role involves operating and maintaining high-speed compression machinery in a cGMP environment, performing setup, changeovers, calibrations, and process controls to ensure batch success.

You will train junior operators and contractual staff on SOPs, safety practices, and GMP requirements, while ensuring accurate documentation in BMRs and equipment logs.

Qualifications

• Total experience of 3-6 years.

Responsibilities

• Compression Operations.
• Set up and operate Cadmach 200, 300i, Legacy 6100, Fette 3090i, Korsch XT600 and other compression machines as per SOPs and BMR.
• Perform machine setup, product changeover, batch start-up, tooling verification, and challenge tests as per procedures.
• Ensure calibration verification of balances, Vernier calipers, hardness tester, friability tester, DT apparatus and IPQC instruments before use.
• Operate and maintain dust extraction, metal detectors, tablet dedusters, and powder transfer systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance of compression machines.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Compression Operations
• Set up and operate Cadmach 200 ,300i, Legacy 6100, Fette 3090i, Korsch XT600 and other make compression machine as per approved SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Perform machine setup, product changeover, batch start-up, tooling verification, and challenge tests as per approved procedures.
• Ensure calibration status verification of balances, Vernier calipers, hardness tester, friability tester, DT apparatus, and other IPQC instruments before use.
• Operate and maintain associated equipment including dust extraction systems, metal detectors, tablet dedusters, and Powder transfer systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance of compression machine

Quality Compliance

• Perform in-process checks such as tablet weight variation, thickness, hardness, friability, disintegration time, and visual inspection as per BMR requirements.
• Ensure proper status labeling and segregation of materials during manufacturing activities.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), equipment logbooks, and electronic logbooks.
• Record machine operating parameters, equipment usage details, and in-process checks online during batch execution.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Teamwork and Coordination

• Coordinate the activities of contractual staff and support personnel to ensure smooth functioning of the compression line.
• Train junior operators and contractual personnel on SOPs, compression processes, equipment operation, safety practices, and GMP requirements as and when required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Ensure safe handling of materials, tooling, punches, dies, and compression equipment.
• Maintain inventory and control of machine tooling, accessories, change parts, and instruments used in the Compression section.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and accountability of punches and dies.

• D. Pharm/ ITI
• Total experience of 3-6 years.
