Job summary

Shalina Healthcare in Pune is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate the Cartonator, carry out machine setup and changeovers for various batches, and maintain cleaning and housekeeping standards in a GMP environment.

The role requires 2-5 years of tablet compression experience, knowledge of cGMP, and familiarity with compression equipment. You will coordinate with QA, Eng, and production teams to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in tablet compression in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Good knowledge of cGMP, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with commonly used compression machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Cartonator machine efficiently as per approved SOPs.
• Perform machine setting, changeover, and adjustments for different product batches.
• Carry out cleaning of the Cartonator machine and surrounding work area before and after production.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for major breakdowns.
• Ensure smooth shift operations by coordinating with team members during shift handovers.
• Achieve daily production targets to support the monthly production plan.
• Maintain machine efficiency and minimize downtime during production.
• Perform routine machine inspections and report abnormalities immediately.
• Ensure proper packing quality and minimize product rejection and wastage.
• Maintain accurate production records, machine logs, and documentation as per BMR/BPR requirements.
• Follow all SOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping standards in the packaging area.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials, and production resources.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Production teams for uninterrupted operations

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma / B.Sc. / B. Pharm or equivalent.
