Job summary

Hyatt Centric Whitefield Bangalore is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support engineering operations and guest comfort. You will execute scheduled maintenance, assist with energy management, and ensure safe, compliant facilities.

You will operate and service AHUs, refrigeration equipment, and power tools, record logs, and coordinate with the Team Leader – Engineering to procure parts while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance works and requests per the established schedule, ensuring high quality finishing work.
• Operate assigned machines/ equipment and primary plant to provide continuous utilities.
• Inspect, service and maintain AHUs and refrigeration equipment.
• Handle fuel deliveries as per policy and procedures.
• Log data as specified by engineering and maintain logs.
• Ensure energy conservation measures and fire, life and safety systems are operational.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on time.
• Assist Team Leader – Engineering with purchases of parts and consumables.

Summary

Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.

• Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
• Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work. Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.
• Operates assigned machines/ equipment or “Primary Plant” as to provide continuous and consistent utilities required for operations.
• Handles the verification, storage and utilisation of all fuel deliveries to the premises as per the established policy and procedures.
• Inspects, maintains and services all AHU’s.
• Attends to guest air conditioning requests in a manner and standard as specified in policy and procedures.
• Inspects, services rectifies and maintains all refrigeration equipment.
• Makes the required logs of data in the frequency specified by engineering.
• Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes.
• Properly handles and maintains all power tools.
• Submits request to the Team Leader – Engineering for the purchases of parts and consumables.
• Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.
• Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations.
• Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational.
• Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety; e.g., such as attending to fire alarms, lift rescue.
• Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Team Leader – Engineering.
• Assists other Technicians when requested by Superiors
