Job summary

Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall in Bengaluru seeks a Maintenance Technician to assist the Engineering team with upkeep of hotel facilities. You will support the Chief Engineer and other engineers, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and safely, and that quality standards are met.

You will apply knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, follow hotel policies, and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade certificate or 1 year hands-on maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Job Description

• Assist the Engineering Supervisor & other team members of Engineering in maintenance and care of all the equipment.
• Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
• To control and check all the equipment.
• Ensure to work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
• Ensure to handle and maintain all equipments properly.
• Any matter which may effect the interests of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall should be brought to the attention of the Management.
• To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.
• Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast of technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.

People Management

• Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
• Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department.

Additional Information

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade certificate or minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in general maintenance.
• Knowledge of various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
