Job summary

Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road is seeking an HVAC Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain HVAC systems across the hotel. You will conduct preventive maintenance and respond to guest requests to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of hospitality HVAC experience, strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and refrigeration principles, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC/R certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as HVAC Technician.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including electrical, mechanical and refrigeration principles.
• Proficient in troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills with guests, colleagues and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure energy efficiency and optimal performance.
• Diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and internal work orders related to HVAC issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Collaborate with other members of the Engineering Team to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
• Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory requirements related to HVAC systems.
• Assist in planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to HVAC infrastructure.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and hotel staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in HVAC/R technology preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
