Job summary

Festo India Private Ltd. is seeking a Technical Writer for Digital Products in Bangalore to create high-quality user manuals and semantic data for our digital products.

You will work in an interdisciplinary, multinational team and ensure content adheres to editorial guidelines and branding. The role requires 4+ years of technical writing experience for digital products, excellent English (CEFR C2), and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to target audiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a technical writer for digital products.
• English at CEFR C2 level.
• Strong written and spoken communication to convey concepts clearly.
• Explain complex issues to target groups clearly.
• Adhere to editorial standards, style guides and branding.
• Edit and proofread for accuracy, clarity and consistency.
• Knowledge of module-based data entry in CCMS.

Your Job

• Creation of high-quality and in-time user manuals for our customers – adhering to relevant standards, guidelines and Festo editorial guidelines
• Semantic data preparation according to didactic, stylistic and normative aspects for different target groups of our digital products
• Information research and design of user-centric content
• Support of information development and data preparation based on the requirements of digital transformation for new media
• Working in interdisciplinary and multi-national team

Your Qualification

• B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc./M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc./MCA in relevant field with 4+ years of professional experience as a technical writer for digital products
• Excellent knowledge of English, of C2 level certification (as per Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR)
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills to successfully formulate concepts and ideas
• Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and in a target group-oriented manner
• Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational standards, style guides, and branding
• Edit and proofread documentation for accuracy, clarity and consistencyAnalyze existing content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Knowledge of module-based data entry in a component content management system (CCMS)
• Passion for evolving techniques in technical communication with very good analytical skills
• Highly motivated team player and ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary and multi-national environment
