• Create SOPs, troubleshooting guides, installation/commissioning instructions, and service bulletins.
• Interpret inputs like SLDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, interlock matrices, and HMI/SCADA workflows.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Controls, SCADA, and Simulation SMEs to validate content.

Job description

We are seeking a Technical Writer with an electrical engineering background to develop high-quality Maintenance Manuals, Operating Manuals, and User Manuals for power systems and industrial control applications. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in English (written and spoken), experienced with LaTeX, and can collaborate closely with engineering, product, and service teams to produce clear, compliant, and field-ready documentation. Proficiency in German, Italian, French, or Dutch is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and own Maintenance, Operating, and User Manuals for electrical/power systems, drives, converters, and control systems.
• Translate complex engineering content (schematics, interlocks, sequences, test procedures) into clear, structured, and field-usable documentation.
• Develop content in LaTeX using modular templates, style guides, and content reuse strategies.
• Create and update SOPs, troubleshooting guides, installation/commissioning instructions, and service bulletins.
• Interpret technical inputs: Single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical GA drawings, wiring diagrams, protection settings, I/O lists, interlock matrices, and HMI/SCADA workflows.
• Work with SMEs (Electrical, Controls, SCADA, Simulation teams) to validate content and ensure technical accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety conventions (e.g., symbols, lockout-tagout practices, hazard/notice formatting).
• Localize content and support multilingual documentation (DE/IT/FR/NL) with language reviewers as needed.
• Own version control and release management across documentation sets; maintain change logs and configuration records.
