Job summary

Cavotec India is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to prepare and manage user manuals and installation guides for modular assemblies. You will work with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensure accuracy, and format content for multiple audiences.

You will edit and coordinate translations, maintain templates with CAD/illustration tools (SolidWorks Composer, MadCap Flare), and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 2–3 years of experience in technical documentation or a similar role.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute technical documentation covering installation, electrical connections, commissioning, use, and maintenance of supplied assemblies.
• Manage and update standard templates used to create manuals for modular assemblies.
• Organize, improve, and maintain existing technical documentation for consistency and accuracy.
• Prepare and issue lists of consumable and critical spare parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and verify technical information for documentation.
• Use specialized software to process and integrate images into manuals and documents.
• Oversee translation process for manuals with external providers to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Optimize content formatting and presentation for different media and audiences.

Summary

Prepare technical documentation consistent with the design documentation, intended for the customer or the Group Service Team.

Main tasks & key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute technical documentation covering installation, electrical connections, commissioning, use, and maintenance of supplied assemblies.
• Manage and update standard templates used to create manuals for modular assemblies within the defined product range.
• Organize, improve, and maintain existing technical documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Prepare and issue lists of consumable and critical spare parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teamsEngineering, Production, Service, and Qualityto gather and verify technical information for inclusion in documentation.
• Use specialized software to process and integrate images into manuals and technical documents.
• Oversee the translation process for technical manuals, coordinating with external translation providers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal documentation policies.

Optimize content formatting and presentation for different media and target audiences.

Hard skills

• Mechanical background; electrical knowledge is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of machine assembly.
• Familiarity with CAD software and technical illustration tools, particularly SolidWorks Composer.
• Familiarity with content authoring and publishing tools (i.e., MadCap Flare).

Familiarity with Power Platform tools is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related technical field).

Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word.

2 to 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
