1. Job Summary

We are looking for a technically competent and result-oriented Technical Trainer to provide product training, application demonstrations, and technical support for tile adhesive, waterproofing, grout, and other construction chemical products.

The candidate will be responsible for training sales teams, dealers, distributors, contractors, applicators, masons, and channel partners on product knowledge, application techniques, surface preparation, troubleshooting, and quality standards. The role will support product awareness, customer confidence, and business growth through effective technical training.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Technical Training & Development

• Conduct product knowledge and application training for sales executives, dealers, distributors, contractors, masons, and applicators.
• Develop and deliver structured training modules for tile adhesives, waterproofing systems, tile grouts, epoxy grouts, and related products.
• Conduct classroom sessions, practical demonstrations, on-site training, and workshops.
• Train sales teams on product selection, technical specifications, application methods, coverage, and key product benefits.
• Evaluate trainee understanding and maintain training attendance and assessment records.

B. Product Application & Demonstration

• Demonstrate the correct application of tile adhesives, waterproofing products, and grouting solutions at customer sites and training centres.
• Explain surface preparation, substrate conditions, mixing ratios, application thickness, curing requirements, and application precautions as per approved technical data sheets.
• Conduct practical demonstrations for different substrates and applications.
• Educate applicators on recommended tools, application methods, and quality practices.
• Ensure all demonstrations follow approved product guidelines and safety procedures.

C. Site Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Visit project sites to provide technical guidance and support to customers and the sales team.
• Investigate application-related issues such as tile debonding, hollow sounds, leakage, cracking, and grout failures.
• Identify probable root causes and recommend corrective measures in coordination with the technical team.
• Prepare site inspection reports and document customer complaints, observations, and resolutions.
• Escalate product performance concerns to the Quality Control or Technical Department for further investigation.

D. Sales & Business Team Support

• Support sales executives and regional managers during customer meetings, product presentations, and project demonstrations.
• Conduct technical presentations for builders, architects, consultants, contractors, and institutional customers.
• Assist in product trials, sample applications, and technical approvals at project sites.
• Help the sales team communicate product advantages, appropriate applications, and differentiation from competing products.
• Participate in dealer meets, contractor meets, applicator engagement programmes, and product launches.

E. Training Content & Documentation

• Prepare training presentations, product demonstration guides, application videos, and technical reference materials.
• Maintain training calendars, attendance records, feedback forms, and assessment results.
• Develop FAQs and troubleshooting guides for common application-related issues.
• Collect field feedback and share improvement suggestions with the Technical, Quality, Product Development, and Sales teams.
• Maintain a database of trained applicators, contractors, and channel partners.

F. Safety & Quality Compliance

• Ensure product handling and application demonstrations comply with safety guidelines.
• Promote correct storage, mixing, application, and disposal practices.
• Ensure technical guidance aligns with approved product specifications and technical data sheets.
• Support quality improvement initiatives through field observations and customer feedback.

3. Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and strong practical experience in construction chemicals may also be considered.
• Knowledge of tile adhesive application, waterproofing systems, grouting, and construction site practices is essential.

4. Experience & Industry Preference

• 3–6 years of experience in technical training, technical services, application support, or construction chemicals.
• Experience in tile adhesives, waterproofing chemicals, tile grouts, epoxy grouts, or related building materials is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in site demonstrations and applicator training is highly desirable.
• Experience working with contractors, masons, applicators, dealers, and sales teams will be an advantage.
