Job Summary
POWERCON Group is looking for an experienced and dynamic Technical Trainer – Wind Energy with 6–8 years of experience in the Wind Energy sector.
The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs for Wind Turbine Installation, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and Project Site teams.
The role will focus on strengthening technical competency, improving safety awareness, ensuring adherence to OEM standards, and enhancing operational efficiency across wind energy projects.
The candidate should have strong hands‑on exposure to wind turbine systems and preferably experience with OEM technologies such as Inox Wind, ISME, Siemens Gamesa, and Enercon.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical training programs related to Wind Turbine Systems, Installation, Commissioning, and O&M.
- Conduct classroom, virtual, and on‑site practical training for technical and site teams.
- Prepare and update training manuals, SOPs, technical modules, presentations, assessments, and learning materials.
- Ensure training content and delivery are aligned with OEM standards, technical procedures, and safety requirements.
- Conduct technical assessments, evaluate trainee performance, provide feedback, and support certification processes.
- Identify technical competency and skill gaps among employees and recommend appropriate improvement plans.
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, assessment results, certification records, and MIS/reporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Site Operations, O&M, Project, HSE, and other relevant stakeholders to understand training requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of technical training programs based on site feedback, operational challenges, and performance requirements.
- Travel to wind project and O&M sites across India as required.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of Wind Turbine Systems.
- Hands‑on experience in Wind Turbine Installation, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
- Experience working with wind turbine OEM technologies such as:
- Inox Wind
- ISME
- Siemens Gamesa
- Enercon
- Good understanding of wind turbine components, systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Ability to convert technical knowledge into effective training modules and practical learning sessions.
- Strong understanding of OEM technical standards and site safety practices.
Educational Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Renewable Energy Engineering
- or a relevant technical discipline.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in the Wind Energy sector.
- Strong hands‑on experience in Wind O&M / Site Operations.
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine technologies and systems.
- Experience with one or more relevant Wind OEM technologies.
- OEM Certification and/or Safety Certification will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project and O&M sites across India.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a maximum notice period of 15 days will be preferred.
Working Conditions
