The role owns classroom and on-the-job training across the induction cooktop line — PCB / coil / IGBT assembly, wiring, glass-top fitting, soldering, testing and packing — along with the skill matrix, training calendar and training records. The result Morcom expects: every operator works to SOP, every critical station has a trained backup, rejection and rework keep falling, and safety and ESD discipline hold on every shift.## KEY RESPONSIBILITIES### 1. New-Joiner Induction & Station Training* Induction programme: Run the joining-day induction — company, product, factory layout, safety, quality basics and code of conduct — so every worker starts right.* Station training: Train new joiners hands-on at their station against the SOP / work instruction — assembly, soldering, fastening, wiring, testing, packing — with demo, practice and correction.* Certification before deployment: Assess and certify each operator station-wise (practical + oral check) before independent deployment; no uncertified hand on a critical station.### 2. Skill Matrix & Multi-Skilling* Skill matrix: Build and maintain the station-wise skill matrix for all lines and shifts; keep it current and visible, and flag gaps to Production.* Multi-skilling: Cross-train operators so every critical station has trained backups — absenteeism must never stop the line.* Refresher & re-certification: Run periodic refreshers and re-certify operators after long absence, station change, ECN / process change or a rejection spike.### 3. SOPs, Work Instructions & Training Material* Training material: Convert SOPs and work instructions into simple, visual, Hindi-first training material — one-point lessons, defect photo boards, samples and short videos.* SOP upkeep: Work with Production and Quality to keep SOPs / WIs current at every station; train the line whenever a process changes.* Training aids: Maintain the training corner / mock-up rigs, good-vs-bad sample sets and demo kits.### 4. Quality- & Rejection-Driven Training* Defect-driven retraining: Analyse rejection, rework and customer-complaint data with Quality; run targeted retraining at the stations and operators behind the top defects.* Defect awareness: Teach the defect catalogue — dry solder, component polarity, missed torque, wiring errors, cosmetic defects — and how each is caught at station.* Quality discipline: Train first-piece approval, in-process checks and poka-yoke awareness so quality is built in at the station, not inspected in later.### 5. Safety, ESD & Discipline Training* Safety training: Deliver electrical safety, ESD handling, PPE usage, fire / emergency response and safe material handling for every worker — zero-incident culture.* 5S & floor discipline: Train and reinforce 5S, housekeeping, attendance and shop-floor discipline standards with supervisors.### 6. Training Records, MIS & Audit Readiness* Records: Maintain complete training records — attendance, assessments, certifications, skill matrix — current and audit-ready for BIS / customer / statutory audits.* Training MIS: Publish the monthly training calendar and MIS — sessions done, operators certified, skill-matrix coverage, effectiveness — to management.* Effectiveness measurement: Track training effectiveness through test scores, on-line performance and rejection trends at trained stations.### 7. Coordination & Train-the-Trainer* Cross-functional coordination: Plan training around production schedules with Production, Quality, Maintenance and HR — training must feed the line, not fight it.* Train-the-trainer: Develop supervisors and senior operators as station trainers so training capacity multiplies beyond one person.## REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES* Hands-on line command: Real assembly-line process knowledge — soldering, fastening, wiring, testing, packing — in an electronics / appliance / engineering setup; can demonstrate, not just explain.* Training delivery: Teaches unskilled and semi-skilled workers patiently in simple Hindi with demo-practice-correct method; holds attention on a noisy shop floor.* Material development: Makes simple visual SOP-based material — one-point lessons, photo boards, checklists — without needing a designer.* Assessment discipline: Runs fair, practical skill assessments and certifies honestly.* Quality mindset: Strong defect awareness and SOP discipline; IPC-A-610 exposure a plus.* Systems: MS Excel / basic computer skills for skill matrix, records and MIS.* Communication: Fluent Hindi, working English; firm but respectful with the workforce, clear with management.## QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE* ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech — Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Production.* 4 – 8 years on an electronics / appliance / auto-component / engineering assembly line, including 2+ years in a training, OJT-in-charge or line-quality role with real training responsibility.* Hands-on soldering / assembly / testing skills good enough to demonstrate at the station.## GOOD TO HAVE* Induction cooktop / SMPS / power-electronics / home-appliance line exposure.* IPC-A-610 workmanship or hand-soldering (J-STD) certification / exposure.* Train-the-Trainer (ToT), NSDC / ESSCI assessor or NAPS / NATS apprentice-training exposure.* Kaizen / 5S involvement; basic photo / video training-material making.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)* Time-to-competence: New joiners certified and independently deployed within the target days per station.* Skill-matrix coverage: % of critical stations with certified operators + trained backups — kept above target.* Training effectiveness: Measurable rejection / rework reduction at retrained stations.* Records & audit readiness: 100% training records complete, current and audit-ready — zero audit findings.* Calendar adherence: Monthly training calendar delivered on time alongside production schedules.## FIRST 90 DAYS — PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS* Day 1 – 30: Learn the product and every station of the induction line; baseline the skill matrix; take over new-joiner induction and station training; identify the top skill gaps and rejection-linked training needs.* Day 31 – 60: Launch station-wise certification and the refresher calendar; build the first set of visual training material; run targeted retraining at the top-3 rejection stations.* Day 61 – 90: Full training system running — skill matrix current with backups at critical stations, measurable rejection reduction at trained stations, records audit-ready, and monthly training MIS in management’s hands.## HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates may share their updated CV at hr@morcom.in with the subject line “Application – Technical Trainer”.
