Job summary

Sherwin Williams Paints in Pune, India is seeking a Technical Service Representative to support customers with liquid and powder chemistries. You will validate processes, handle complaints, and drive trials and growth initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Travel to the North region will be required to monitor customer production lines, provide expert guidance, and ensure quality and efficiency through technical service and sales support.

Qualifications

• 4~10 years as a technical service representative, preferably in General Industrial segment.
• Knowledge of liquid & powder chemistries and their applications.
• Minimum 2 years managing customer production line independently.
• Willingness to travel in the North region.

Responsibilities

• Mandatory process validations and CCT test panel preparations.
• Complaint handling & troubleshooting with emphasis on high-severity issues.
• Product trials and growth initiatives, including alternate paint systems.
• Ongoing customer and commercial support, regular visits to monitor competitor activity.
• Paint inventory management at customer sites and regional warehouses.
• Payment follow-ups and commercial coordination.

1. Mandatory Process Validations
   • CCT test panel preparations
2. Complaint Handling & Troubleshooting
   • High-severity issues often extend beyond one week.
   • Certain critical cases require round-the-clock monitoring across shifts.
3. Business Protection Against Competition
4. Product Trials & Growth Initiatives
   • Ongoing and upcoming trials for alternate paint systems to protect existing business.
   • New business trials in progress or pipeline.
5. Ongoing Customer & Commercial Support
   • Regular visits to monitor competitor activity and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
   • Paint inventory management at customer sites and regional warehouse.
   • Payment follow-ups and commercial coordination

Experience Requirements

• 4 ~ 10 years of experience as a technical service representative, preferably in General Industrial segment.
• Should have product and application knowledge on different liquid & powder chemistries.
• Minimum 2 years of experience towards managing customer production line independently.
• Should be ready to travel in North region

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science, operations management or equivalent or higher education and experience.
