Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming equipment, interpret faults and isolate failures.
• Read circuit diagrams, datasheets and manuals to identify components.
• Test rectifiers, MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, capacitors and relays.
• Diagnose SMPS, DC-link, gate-driver and feedback circuits.
• Carry out precision soldering, desoldering and PCB repairs.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters and bench supplies for fault finding.
• Backup and restore equipment parameters where possible.
• Perform functional checks and controlled load testing.
• Prepare clear service reports with findings and results.
• Follow ESD controls and safe capacitor-discharge practices.

Technical Repair Technician – Industrial Electronics

Role Overview

Join our technical service team as a Technical Repair Technician and work hands‑on with the industrial electronics that keep critical systems operating. You will diagnose, repair and test equipment at component level, working across PCBs, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, power supplies and industrial control modules. This role offers the opportunity to solve complex faults, strengthen your expertise in industrial electronics and contribute directly to reliable equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming equipment, understand reported faults and use a structured approach to isolate failures.
• Interpret circuit diagrams, datasheets and technical manuals to identify components and understand circuit operation.
• Test and evaluate rectifiers, MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, capacitors, relays, ICs and related control circuits.
• Diagnose SMPS, DC-link, gate-driver, feedback and communication circuits.
• Carry out precision soldering, desoldering, SMD component replacement and PCB track repairs.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies and other diagnostic tools to support accurate fault finding.
• Back up and restore equipment parameters where supported and authorised.
• Perform functional checks and controlled load testing when suitable facilities are available.
• Prepare clear service reports covering identified faults, components replaced, test results and any testing limitations.
• Follow ESD controls, electrical isolation procedures and safe capacitor-discharge practices at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in industrial electronics repair is preferred; candidates with strong practical skills and relevant exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Sound understanding of analogue, digital and power electronics.
• Practical experience with component‑level PCB troubleshooting and SMD rework.
• Familiarity with industrial drives, PLCs, HMIs and servo systems.
• A methodical approach to fault diagnosis, accurate documentation and collaborative work.
