Job summary

Vertiv in India seeks a senior mechanical engineer with BE/M.Tech in Mechanical or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and 15–20 years of experience to lead design and execution of data center cooling projects.

You will mentor a small team, engage consultants and customers, prepare technical submittals, and ensure adherence to tender / BOQ requirements, piping, pumping and thermal storage aspects.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical or M.Tech Mechanical or Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in mechanical design or related fields.
• Experience leading a team of 2–3 members minimum.
• Self-driven with ability to work as a contributor and leader.
• Experience handling consultants and customer relationships, and specifying Vertiv products in tenders/BOQ.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience and ability to prepare technical submittals.
• Strong understanding of data center cooling concepts and chilled water system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2–3 engineers on chilled water and data center cooling projects.
• Manage consultants and customer relationships, specifying Vertiv products in tenders/BOQ.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver design packages.
• Prepare and manage technical submittals for projects.

• Deep understanding of chilled water system design including low side piping design, thermal storage design, pumping , plumbing etc

• Experience of leading the team of 2 to 3 members minimum
