Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) in Chennai is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the CIO/PMO during an enterprise AI transformation. You will work at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution to shape how critical programs are run and will report to the Director of Technical Program Management.

You will partner with senior leaders, establish scalable governance, define sprint cadences, manage risks, and deliver executive-ready updates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical program management experience with cross-functional programs.
• 2-4 years in management consulting at a recognized firm.
• Experience in PMO within a multinational company with cross-geography exposure.
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior leadership.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise technology programs (GTM, Finance, Data/AI).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/PDLC delivery frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI LLM models and building skills/agents.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with the CIO and leadership on transformation program strategy and delivery.
• Build and run program governance structures that scale with hyper growth.
• Establish and improve sprint cadence, story point estimation, DoD, milestone tracking.
• Identify and manage risks, blockers, escalation paths across complex programs.
• Drive structured program rollouts with defined scope, metrics, and dependency management.
• Produce executive deliverables: status decks, OKR scorecards, narratives, and proposals.
• Define and track PMO KPIs: velocity, capacity utilization, quality indicators.
• Build dashboards in Jira, Confluence, and other AI tools for real-time visibility.
• Champion PMO maturity with standardized processes and governance.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our CIO/PMO organization at a pivotal moment, as we accelerate an enterprise-wide AI transformation. This is not a conventional program management role. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, shaping how critical transformative programs are run. Reporting into the Director, Technical Program Manager, you will be a key voice in building the PMO function and driving transformation across CIO Organization.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Partner directly with the CIO and his leadership team on critical transformation program strategy and delivery
• Build and run program governance structures that scale with our hyper growth
• Establish and continuously improve sprint cadence, story point estimation, Definition of Done, milestone tracking etc.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, blockers, and escalation paths across complex, multi-team programs
• Drive structured program rollouts with defined scope, success metrics, and dependency management
• Produce C-suite facing deliverables: program status decks, OKR scorecards, quarterly business narratives, and business proposals
• Define and track PMO KPIs: delivery velocity, capacity utilization, and quality indicators
• Build and maintain dashboards in Jira, Confluence, and other AI tools for real-time program visibility
• Champion PMO maturity across teams- standardizing processes, governance frameworks, and reporting cadences

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of technical program management experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional technical programs
• 2-4 years of management consulting experience preferred at a recognized firm, with strong executive-facing communication and structured problem-solving skills
• Prior experience embedded in a PMO within a multinational company, you have operated across geographies, time zones, and cross functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership team
• Proven track record delivering programs in enterprise technology environments (GTM, Finance, Data/AI, or similar)
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/PDLC delivery frameworks
• Well versed with AI LLM models and building skills/agents
