Job summary

The Recruiters in India is seeking a Technical Buyer / Strategic Buyer with 7-10 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of technical components for an advanced engineering and energy technology company.

You will work closely with R&D and engineering teams to identify suppliers, manage sourcing activities, and ensure cost-effective procurement of PCBAs, sheet metal parts, housings/cabinets, turning & milling parts, cables & wiring, and magnetics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering required.
• 7-10 years of experience in technical procurement or strategic sourcing with an OEM.
• Experience procuring electronic, electromechanical, or industrial components.
• Strong supplier management, RFQs, negotiations, and vendor development.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and global teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and production capacity.
• Source components such as PCBAs, sheet metal parts, housings/cabinets, turning & milling parts, cables & wiring, and magnetics.
• Work with engineering and project teams to understand drawings, specs, and BOM requirements.
• Manage RFQs, quotation evaluations, supplier negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery delays, quality deviations, and material shortages.
• Maintain procurement documentation including supplier records, cost sheets, and sourcing reports.
