Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering leader in Bengaluru to guide a large team across quality, schedules, costs, and milestones. You will support cross-functional units including manufacturing engineering, suppliers, quality, and operations, and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality designs.

The role requires 13+ years in mechanical engineering with at least 5+ years in people management, proficiency in Creo/SolidWorks/Windchill, and a drive to stay current with

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering design with NPD, VAVE, design automation, productivity projects.
• Proficient with Creo and SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLM processes and Windchill.
• Interest in staying current with tech trends in engineering design and roadmap strategies.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in mechanical design and PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) and automation of workflows.
• Knowledge of advanced areas like AI-driven design, AR collaboration, IoT-driven design.
• Mechanical engineering background with 13+ years of experience including 5+ years in people management.

Responsibilities

• Inspire, engage and lead a team of engineers managing quality, on time delivery, cost, milestones, engineering processes, productivity projects and innovation.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams in deliverables.
• Coordinate projects with project partners; understanding of tools used in engineering design; perform design reviews and mentor designers; consistently deliver high-quality design deliverables.
• Technically manage a large team while handling annual objectives, performance, growth and development, global projects, trainings.
• Demonstrate leadership, professional and positive approach, detail-oriented, team player, able to work on own initiative and go the extra mile.

What You Will Do

• Inspire, engage and lead a team of engineers managing quality, on time delivery, cost, milestones, engineering processes, productivity projects and innovation.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing engineering, suppliers, quality, and operations, in each of their deliverables.
• Complete Project coordination with Project partners, Cross functional Managers. Complete Understanding of tools and technologies used in Engineering Design. Performs Design reviews and mentors Design Engineers. Consistently delivers high-quality Design deliverables.
• Technically Manage a large team of engineers while handling their annual objectives, performance, growth and development, global projects, Trainings.
• Demonstrable leadership skills, professional and positive approach, diligent with attention to detail, team player and able to work on own initiative, assertive, adaptable, creative and a willingness to go the extra mile when required.

What You Will Bring

• Hands on exp in engineering design while working on NPD, VAVE, Design automation, Productivity and QNR projects
• Hands on exp working on product design software's such as Creo, SolidWorks.
• Hands on exp working on PLM processes and tools such as Windchill.
• Someone with a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies wrt Engineering design and help in designing strategies for future road map.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken and skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Hands on experience and working knowledge with Mechanical Engineering Design while Integrating advanced capabilities such as MBD - Model-based definition with hands on working knowledge of PMI – Product manufacturing information, complete understanding of automating workflows and reducing manual work and re-work.
• Working knowledge in advanced areas such Pro-programming, AI Driven Generative design, AI process Automation, Design for Circularity, AR Collaboration, IOT driven design.
• A mechanical engineer background with 13+ years of experience in the field of engineering which includes at least 5+ years of people management experience.
