Job summary

Trane Technologies in Bengaluru invites a senior engineering leader to drive a large team of engineers, oversee design quality, on-time delivery, and innovation across projects.

You will mentor designers, conduct design reviews, and shape strategy for advanced tools like Creo, SolidWorks, Windchill, and AI-driven processes, while collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams. Fluency in English required; 13+ years in engineering with 5+ years in people management preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in engineering design for NPD, VAVE, design automation and productivity projects.
• Experience with product design software like Creo and SolidWorks; PLM with Windchill.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of engineers; manage objectives, performance and development.
• Perform design reviews; mentor design engineers and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate projects with manufacturing, suppliers, quality and operations; drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop and implement advanced design strategies, including AI-driven approaches and IoT-enabled design.

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days)

What you will do:

Inspire, engage and lead a team of engineers managing quality, on time delivery, cost, milestones, engineering processes, productivity projects and innovation. Provide technical support to cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing engineering, suppliers, quality, and operations, in each of their deliverables. Complete Project coordination with Project partners, Cross functional Managers. Complete Understanding of tools and technologies used in Engineering Design. Performs Design reviews and mentors Design Engineers. Consistently delivers high-quality Design deliverables. Technically Manage a large team of engineers while handling their annual objectives, performance, growth and development, global projects, Trainings. Demonstrable leadership skills, professional and positive approach, diligent with attention to detail, team player and able to work on own initiative, assertive, adaptable, creative and a willingness to go the extra mile when required.

What you will bring:

Hands on exp in engineering design while working on NPD, VAVE, Design automation, Productivity and QNR projects Hands on exp working on product design software's such as Creo, SolidWorks. Hands on exp working on PLM processes and tools such as Windchill. Someone with a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies wrt Engineering design and help in designing strategies for future road map. Proficient in English, both written and spoken and skills to communicate complex ideas effectively. Hands on experience and working knowledge with Mechanical Engineering Design while Integrating advanced capabilities such as MBD - Model-based definition with hands on working knowledge of PMI – Product manufacturing information, complete understanding of automating workflows and reducing manual work and re-work. Working knowledge in advanced areas such Pro-programming, AI Driven Generative design, AI process Automation, Design for Circularity, AR Collaboration, IOT driven design. A mechanical engineer background with 13+ years of experience in the field of engineering which includes at least 5+ years of people management experience.
