Job summary

Trane Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support HVAC product development. You will lead design tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and focus on sheet metal and casting components while maintaining engineering docs and BOMs.

You will conduct DFMEA, participate in VAVE feasibility studies, and commit to delivering 100% QDC on current production parts and new designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7-9 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Engineering projects independently.
• Collaborate with other design and product engineers to support the projects.
• Strong focus on sheet metal part design, casting part design.
• Prepare layouts and concept designs, sketches and detailed drawings as required.
• Prepare/maintenance of Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.
• Collaborate and communicate with cross functional teams and project partners.
• Provides design support for current production parts and products.
• Create and develop DFMEA and DVPN&R.
• Feasibility study on VAVE projects.
• Commit to deliver 100% QDC.

Job Summary

This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.

Key Competencies

• Hands on experience in Creo, Wind-chill and Team Center.
• Hands on experience in NPD / VAVE / Sustenance projects.
• Strong knowledge on sheet metal, Casting, Machining design and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge and application of Tolerance stack up and analysis.
• Hands on experience in DFMEA and DVPN&R is preferred.
• Good knowledge on Bill of Materials.
• HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.
• Good Oral and Written communication skills.
• Must be able to adjust changing demands, priorities and objectives.
• Good attention to detail and problem solving capabilities of manufacturing and field issues.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Project management skills.
