Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Senior Product – Product Engineering in Bengaluru. You will drive design and manufacturing of current and next line of exciting products, collaborating with cross-functional teams worldwide to meet specs and timelines.

The role focuses on lifecycle, productivity, Q&R, NPD, Agile, and other initiatives. Onsite four days a week, with strong hands-on design and problem-solving responsibilities across global locations.

Qualifications

• BE degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in component selection and system integration.
• Experience in DFMEA and test plan development.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and collaborate with global teams.
• Meet milestones within quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Senior Product – Product Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the design and manufacturing of our current & next line of exciting products. As a Senior product engineer, you will work closely with the cross functional teams in various locations of our business to build industry-relevant products that meet the required specifications for our global customers. The projects could be in the areas of Lifecycle/ Sustaining projects, Productivity, Q&R, NPD, Agile, NTP and others.

Where Is The Work:

Onsite: This position has been designated as an Onsite work schedule with work performed onsite 4 days each week.

What You Will Do:

• Understand project requirements, collaborate with project owners, leaders & cross-functional teams across the globe for the delivery of projects, by adhering to standard processes, systems, and project management principles
• Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D), Project cost (C) &Product cost (C) targets. Proficient in Project management.
• Solve technical problems, identify solutions, participate in concept reviews, critical design reviews, and other technical discussions with the global team and handle multiple projects at the same time
• Develop concepts, design/select & develop components along with suppliers, develop component specifications for structural component (metal, non-metal) and assemblies, DFMEA and test plan
• Create and release engineering documentation using PLM & PDM software like ProE & Windchill. (Design, Drawings, Bill of material, and Specifications).
• Co-ordinate with cross-functional team to implement design changes.
• Collaborate with Lifecycle engineering team to fix engineering related issues.

What You Will Bring:

• BE degree - master's in mechanical engineering / related specialization
• 5+ years on experience in component selection, system integration, concept development, design calculations, lifecycle engineering in the domain currently working.
• Experience in product design, development process/phases; Hands on experience in DFMEA and test plan development. Exposure to prototype/engineering builds & testing.
• Good Knowledge of metal & Non-metal component design, assy, Mfg process. Basics of Electrical system / components would be added advantage.
• Basic knowledge in understanding material properties for materials selection considering application requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to get to root cause and to take effective action to solve problems. Hands on experience with problem solving tools.
• Demonstrates innovation & initiative approach at work, ability to develop new methods and approaches.
• Fosters effective teamwork where people work together to achieve common goals. A strong team player that can work with others.
• Excellent communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to communicate ideas and results in a clear and concise manner
