Job summary

Tata Technologies Pune division is seeking a design engineer to drive automotive seating components exposure, delivering 3D surfacing and solid modeling along with generating 2D drawings. You will evaluate Class-A data from an engineering perspective, apply GD&T, DFMEA, DVP, and support PLM systems to enable projects from styling through to final design and release.

This role requires good analytical and organizational skills and an ability to work across cross-functional teams on design

• Design exposure of automotive seating components.
• Provide engineering solutions during trim components design.
• Evaluate Class-A data and propose improvements with 3D data.
• Create 3D models (surfacing and solid) and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of engineering plastics, dimensional management, GD&T.
• Hands-on PLM experience with TCE & TCUA.
• Develop engineering concept design, master sections, macro feasibility.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and DVP.
• Familiar with seating regulations and tests.
• Strong analytical, logical, and interpersonal skills.

• 2. Providing engineering solution during design of trim components aggregates, engineering feasibility checks
• 3. Evaluation of Class-A data from engineering perspective. And suggest any improvements through 3D engineering data
• 4. Critical 3D modeling in surfacing as well as solid. Generating 2D drawings
• 5. Knowledge of engineering plastic materials and processes, dimensional management, GD&T.
• 6. Hands on experience on Product life cycle management system (PLM) -TCE & TCUA.
• 7. Creating Engineering Concept design, master sections, macro feasibility during styling stage
• 8. Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP
• 9. Knowledge of Seating regulations and testings
• 10. Good analytical, logical and interpersonal skills
