Job summary

Verifitech in Kolkata is seeking a Project Engineer–Seat Development to own the full lifecycle of a seat—from concept to final delivery and certification. You will interact with OEMs, vendors, testing agencies, and internal teams, managing design, development, documentation, costing, and timelines end‑to‑end.

The role requires coordinating with customers, selecting materials, and ensuring manufacturability, durability, ergonomics and safety; strong collaboration across departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Understand customer requirements, technical standards and application needs.
• Create concept designs, 2D drawings, 3D models, BOM and specifications.
• Select materials, mechanisms, foam compositions, trims and structural components.
• Ensure manufacturability, durability, ergonomics and safety compliance.
• Attend customer meetings, collect technical inputs and translate them to design actions.

Role Summary

We are looking for someone who can own the entire lifecycle of a seat: concept → design → development → validation → certification → customer handling → vendor management → tooling → final delivery. This role is for someone who can take a seat from a rough idea on paper to a fully certified, customer‑approved product ready for production. The person should be able to interact confidently with OEMs, vendors, testing agencies, and internal teams. They will handle design, development, documentation, certification, costing, and timelines end‑to‑end.
