Job summary
Nalco Water in Pune (Kharadi) is seeking a Technical Engineer - Piping to join a global engineering team delivering water treatment and process plant projects.
The role emphasizes piping design, P&ID development, and equipment selection, with 5–10 years in mechanical engineering. You will coordinate with clients and vendors on EPC-style projects and support site installation and commissioning.
Strong knowledge of ASME codes and CAD tools will be essential for success.
Qualifications
- Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Perform piping engineering, pipeline sizing & pressure drop calculations
- Prepare technical documentation, equipment lists, BOMs & specifications
- Design and engineer process plants and piping systems
- Selection and procurement support for pumps, tanks, vessels, valves, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams for project execution
- Support site installation, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting
- Perform engineering calculations related to hydraulics, piping supports, and structural elements
- Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
