Role: Technical Curriculum Developer
Department: Professional Services (Education Services)
Working Hours: 2 pm – 11 pm IST
The Technical Curriculum Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining high‑quality technical educational content, courses, and training programs that empower learners to acquire technical skills and knowledge in a structured and effective manner. Collaborating closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders, the developer ensures the curriculum aligns with organizational goals and meets the needs of the target audience.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives and content requirements.
- Design and develop technical training materials, including courses, videos, tutorials, and assessments.
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences using written content, multimedia, simulations, and hands‑on exercises.
- Design effective learning experiences incorporating best practices in adult learning theory, instructional strategies, and evaluation methods.
- Write, edit, and review instructional materials such as presentations, manuals, guides, and e‑learning modules.
- Ensure content is accurate, up‑to‑date, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Manage organization, storage, and accessibility of learning resources to make them easily accessible to learners and trainers.
- Develop and implement assessments, quizzes, and practical exercises to measure learner comprehension and skill proficiency.
- Analyze evaluation data to identify areas for improvement and refine curriculum accordingly.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams (product development, engineering, customer support, consulting) to gather information and insights for curriculum development.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance effectiveness and accessibility of learning resources.
- Ensure training materials meet industry standards, compliance requirements, and organizational quality assurance processes.
- Participate in Education Team responsibilities such as responding to email questions and processing Business‑As‑Usual Training Registration requests.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Engineering).
- Proven experience in technical curriculum development or instructional design, preferably in a technology‑driven environment.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in content creation tools and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e‑learning authoring tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Experience with Agile or other interactive development methodologies.
- Experience with Articulate 360 and Camtasia (required).
