About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with hands-on expertise in Python and FastAPI , and a strong interest in Generative AI (GenAI) applications . You will design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and services that integrate LLMs, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques to deliver next-generation intelligent solutions for IT Operations in the manufacturing domain.

This role is ideal for engineers eager to work at the intersection of backend engineering and AI , collaborating closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• - Backend Development & API Design
• - Build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI) .
• - Integrate APIs with LLMs, vector databases , and GenAI pipelines.
• - Implement authentication, authorization, and scalability best practices.
• - GenAI Integration
• - Support design and implementation of prompt engineering patterns .
• - Connect APIs with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) for embedding storage and retrieval.
• - Collaborate on workflows that use LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.) for contextual responses.
• - Cloud & DevOps Enablement
• - Deploy backend services on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB).
• - Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and monitoring.
• - Optimize services for performance, cost, and reliability .
• - Collaboration & Agile Execution
• - Translate business/functional requirements into technical stories.
• - Collaborate with squad leads, QA, and frontend developers to ensure cohesive delivery.
• - Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and agile ceremonies.
