Job summary

Genpact Bengaluru is looking for an early-career AI Engineer who will build and ship well-scoped features within an established codebase, with guidance from senior engineers, turning clear requirements into clean, tested code.

You will write unit tests, participate in code reviews, apply secure coding practices, use dashboards and logs to diagnose production issues, and leverage generative AI tooling to accelerate development, while communicating progress clearly within the team.

Responsibilities

• Implement well-defined features, enhancements, and bug fixes with guidance, producing readable and maintainable code.
• Write and maintain unit tests; verify your own changes before opening a pull request.
• Participate in code reviews - raise pull requests with clear context and act on feedback promptly.
• Apply secure coding practices and follow team standards for version control, branching, and documentation.
• Use dashboards and logs, with support, to investigate defects and understand system behaviour in production.
• Apply generative AI tooling to development tasks using established prompt patterns and approved guardrails.
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly within the immediate team.
