Job summary

Axonwise Technologies is seeking a hands-on Principal Architect to translate product goals into scalable technical designs and guide production deployments. You will collaborate with staff engineers, tech leads, and product partners to define system boundaries, integration choices, and operational standards.

You will own architectures across product areas, shape API strategies, ensure multi-tenant security and privacy, and balance performance with cost in a cloud-driven SaaS context.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or Python and a solid understanding of React-based applications.
• Experience designing and operating production web or SaaS systems, including APIs, relational databases, and cloud services.
• Practical system-design experience with integrations, background work, retries, and graceful failure handling.
• Regular use of AI tools for engineering work, with judgment to verify results and protect confidential code and data.
• Clear written communication, sound trade-off decisions, and a record of following designs through delivery and operation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Staff Engineers and Tech Leads on implementation trade-offs, reviews, and mentoring, keeping architecture guidance actionable.
